Well no working farm is complete without the family tractor. This mean, green machine will officially move us forward in our endeavors to have a working homestead. Exciting! We've done all we can manually and kept finding ourselves at the mercy of a gracious neighbor who had a waiting list yea long for others needing a tractor too. Unfortunately, everyone uses one at the same time of year, leaving us way down on the list...and understandably so. Now reworking fence rows, digging the watering hole for cattle and bush hogging will be established chores around here. Also, in keeping with country etiquette we must now name "her"...the tractor that is. I personally like "Gertie"!
Ya know, there IS something about a man and his tractor....grrrrrrrrrrrr ;).
Course ALL the kids get to ride..."now Noah, she (Gertie) is MINE...just want to make that clear".
