Natural Tunnel, called the "Eighth Wonder of the World" by William Jennings Bryan (a prominent politician during the late 1800s). Area includes a gorge surrounded by 400 ft cliffs, water-carved 850 foot tunnel, rare plants and a train! A great field trip opportunity in Duffield, Virgina full of beauty AND history. This tunnel carved out by water is now the path of a train route, a "natural" thoroughfare and attraction for many. Course the theories regarding design of the tunnel from secular scientist, is the "millions of years" idea. However, if you study creation science (not promoted by the park of course) you can see how torrents of rushing water as the fountains of the deep during Noah's flood burst open could create geological structures such as this. Which ever idea you tend to believe, nature's beauty and God's power speaks volumes in this tunnel.
In season, you can take the chairlifts to the tunnel.

On top of "Lover's Leap". As the legend goes, two Indians from different tribes wanted to marry and could not, so they leaped to their deaths. Many lover's legends in these areas.
Fun hike, followed by a picnic lunch. This park has camping facilities, cabins and great amenities for overnight stays.
