I have a little personal item to discuss with the ladies...a topic that is often uncomfortable, evokes fear and certainly not politically correct, but one worth addressing. Yes, that would be GUNS...or better yet...women and guns. Yikes...are you still there?
When not raised around weapons women (and men) often develop a fear of handling a firearm and will also become skeptical of others who lawfully do. However, this fear is often irrational and made purely out of emotion and lack of understanding. Statistics are overwhelmingly in favor of the safety of an armed populous, bearing out lower crime rates in areas where gun freedoms prevail...especially where citizens carrying concealed are highest.
Think about it for a minute, those of you who shy away from gun freedoms...when a person intent on doing harm lives in areas where guns are banned OR stores that forbid concealed weapons, would they feel MORE or LESS free to commit their crimes? If you answered MORE free than you would have guessed right! A locale that forbids firearms is a place that invites crime.
I will be addressing firearm safety quite often in my blogging in hopes to quell some of the attitudes of fear that women especially have towards their useage. The e-book below has great information that will go a long way in dispelling some of the myths that currently perpetuate conventional thinking...and even law making regarding guns. In future posts I will also share not only about firearm safety (the main priority), but usage, guns styles for ladies and even carrying holsters for those truly converted who would like to wear theirs concealed. So stay tuned.... ~ Alice
